WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
Join our first Learn and Explore trip led entirely by Wayfinding Alumni! Together you will travel to an ancient land of mystery, beauty, and wonder: Armenia and Georgia. You will experience the unique tastes, sounds, and smells of the food culture and communal traditions, making kinkali, lavash, and Georgian wine with locals.
You'll attend puppet shows, dances, and visit museums as you learn about the vibrant communal life and resiliency of the Armenian and Georgian people and the stories of the land. You'll partake in extraordinary adventures featuring thousand-year old monasteries, cave cities, towering mountains, hot springs, and lakes.
Lodging will vary from dorms to airbnb’s. This will be a magical trip - an experience you won't be able to find anywhere else on the globe. Lodging will be in hostels and airbnb’s. Կէնաձդ!
No prior experience is necessary to join this trip.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ON THE TRIP?
There is a cap of 14 people. Registration is first come, first served.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Luminaries, Board, Crew: $1,250
Community Members: $1,350
Why are costs different for different groups of people? We charge Wayfinding students the absolute minimum cost to attend the trip to make it as affordable as possible for them. For those in our community including crew, faculty, guides, board members, parents of students, and Luminaries, we offer the trip at a rate that helps cover some of our administrative costs of planning the trip but still at a discount. Finally, we ask communities members to pay just over the standard price of the trip to help subsidize student participation.
Costs to be finalized by September 2019. We anticipate the estimate to the maximum amount anyone would pay.
Housing for seventeen nights (nights of Dec 4th - Dec 20th)
Meals while on the trip
What's not included?
Airfare to and from Georgia-Armenia
Transportation to and from the airports
Travel insurance which you may already have through your credit card company or other policy. If not, we highly recommend it.
