Texas Renaissance Festival - Todd Mission, Texas (1hr north of Houston)

WHO'S LEADING THE TRIP?
Wayfinding cohort 2 student Max Hewitt will be the trip leader for this experience. Max has been going to the Renaissance Festival for years, and is excited to show off all the hidden gems to anyone who would like to join!
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
The festival is a place of fun and food with the authentic medieval feel. There are live shows and educational opportunities within the festival. Educational activities include sword fighting, glass blowing, blacksmithing, and art forms. You can see more about the event on their website here!
Thursday, Nov. 22nd - Everyone everyone meet Max at the Renaissance festival, 1 hour north of Houston
Friday, Nov. 23rd - Festival beings!
Monday, Nov. 26th - Last day of the festival, trip complete! Participants may choose to stay longer or head home!
No prior experience is necessary to join this trip, except a willingness to spend a few days camping while enjoying the festival with new friends!
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON THE TRIP?
This trip currently has a cap of 15 people.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
$61.95 Festival Weekend Admission (Including Friday)
Camping: The Fields of New Market Campground
Fees $30 per vehicle or $25 per vehicle booked online
Each entrant must also present valid admission ticket to the Festival. Open each Festival weekend from 12 pm Thursday until 12 pm Monday.
Housing/camping for Wed night through Sunday night
Entrance fee to the festival including entertainment (the Texas Renaissance Festival offers over 20 stages of live entertainment of all kinds including clowns, jugglers, musicians, magicians, dancers, acrobats, comedians, and jousters. In addition, you’ll find many performers in the lanes to delight and entertain.)
What's not included?
Food while on the trip. Participants can work together to split meals/buy groceries and help save money if there's interest. Food prices n the festival range from $2 to $12 and drinks start at $3. All food vendors accept most major credit cards and ATM machines are located at many convenient locations within the village.
Travel insurance which you may already have through your credit card company or other policy. If not, we highly recommend it.
Extra spending money for the trip. While all entrance fees and tours are covered, we recommend $50 for souvenirs and fun things.
